I have been using a Slingbox to sling media across the country since the original Slingbox came out, and it is probably one of my more favorite gadgets. I can remember waiting for the mobile version to hit the ground, and when it did the experience on my PPC-6700 was worth the wait.

Now Apple iPhone users may soon get a little Slingbox Mobile love, with Sling showing a proof of concept Sling Player running on an iPhone. While Sling is not officially accepted into the  Apple developer program yet (?), with a little luck the official release of the iPhone version could happen sometimes this fall or winter.
